5 stars isnt enough for this gorgeous chalet! We are a family with 5 children who stayed a week at Zirbenchalet and hands down it is the best ski chalet we have ever stayed in. It offered us tons of room to spread out (over 170m2) and we never felt on top of each other.

The house is absolutely perfect and there isnt anything I can think of to make it better. The Bernhardt family have spent years bringing this gorgeous chalet back to life and no detail has been forgotten. There were heated boot racks and places to hang the skis in the mud room, access to the washer and dryer (with washing powder provided) to start things off. There is also an amazing sauna and infrared cabin in the sauna room, which is much appreciated after a hard day on the slopes.

The kitchen is very well stocked with high quality (WMF) pots and pans, cutlery, dishes, sharp knifes(!) and a high end coffee maker stocked with coffee beans. There were wine glasses, champagne glasses, shot glasses, beer glasses and water glasses and lots to go around! The kitchen even had a mixer and a scale so we were able to make a cake to celebrate my sons birthday while there. As a great cook all these details were greatly appreciated and made our stay much more comfortable.

The house has underfloor heating, the bathrooms had rain showers and high quality sinks and furniture and the bedrooms are beautifully finished with lots of space in the wardrobes, which are all handmade by Erwin, who is a carpenter.

All 4 bedrooms are equally as nice so if staying with a bunch of couples no one feels that they got the "crappy" room. The beds had high quality linens and there were LOTS of towels on hand.

Annemarie brought us freshly made butter and yogurt during the week, which was a real treat.

The location is perfect and you can get around without a car. The ski bus is 20m outside the door and the grocery store is less than 50m away. The restaurants and bars are also in walking distance which makes it a perfect place for people to stay if they dont have a car. We parked ours and walked or took the free ski bus every day.

As a ski resort Heiligenblut is fantastic - the slopes arent busy and we never wait more than 5 minutes for a lift. Weve been coming here for years but have found our forever chalet.

We HIGHLY recommend this chalet and loved it so much that weve already booked for 2020!
